Aloe Vera The Healing Leaf

Aloe Vera originates from a family of succulent from Africa. This awesome plant is best known for the fresh gel in the leaf and the juice from the outer leaf used as a laxative agent.

The rich gel has been used as a herbal healing remedy for first degree burns, minor cuts and abrasions for some 2000 years.  It's simple, inside every leaf the fresh gel can be extracted by squeezing or scraping it from the leaf and apply to the directly to the inflamed area. Aloe Vera is the only herbal plant that the active ingredient can be obtained instantly from the living plant.

While the Aloe gel can easily be obtained from the plant and used right away, it is the same ingredient us in lotions, skin creams, bath foams, shampoo, and many other products.

Aloe is one of my favorite houseplant. They are low maintenance, very dependable, and easily adapts to household conditions. Such as a cactus all this plant need is excellent drainage and hot and dry conditions . They are available at most suppliers that sells household plants.
