Home Remedies for Acne

When the oil producing glands (sebaceous gland) become clogged with oil, the result is a skin disorder called acne. Though common among teens, acne can surface at any age. They are not a pretty sight, for acne can be embarrassing and painful when inflamed.

Now I that I am faced with pimples, how can I make them go away quickly with the least amount of pain? Okay, don't be too alarm because acne isn't something that you will have the rest of your life. In rare cases, acne can leave scars that will be with you forever.

Symptoms: whiteheads, blackheads, pimples, painful, inflammation, swelling, hormone changes, food allergies
Prevention and Treatment: Benzoyl Peroxide, antibiotics, eliminate fats & sweets, wash face w/plain soap twice a day, do not pick w/pimples, use water based make-up, beware of hair gel & spray, suntan oils,
Natural and Herbal Cures: aloe vera,burdock tea root,tea tree oil, echinacea & cleavers (blood purifiers), dandelion & yellow dock (liver tonics)

For milder cases of acne, antibiotics been prescribed quite often. Research shows that these drugs have become less effective and side effects outweigh the worth of the drug, some fatal. Some of traditional treatment drugs including, doxycycline, tetracycline, erythromycin have been abandon. While a more potent and pricer antibiotic (monocycline). Monocycline has its share of side effects as well. The simple task of washing your face with plain soap just once or twice a day might be the solution. I will let you know that there is no quick fix to getting rid of blackheads and pimples. Be patience and watch them disappear. Here's to your good health.
